Moonwave Sea Glass

Authentic, ocean-tumbled sea glass has a unique natural beauty that is worthy of the classification of "gem." Also known as "mermaid's tears" or "beach glass," broken bits of bottles, dinnerware and jars that wound up in the ocean spend decades tumbling with sand, salty tides and rocks until their sharp edges are rounded and smoothed and they are ultimately deposited on a beach. In order to reach the quality and feel we seek out for our sea glass jewelry, the glass must spend decades in the ocean, lending a historical aspect that is interesting in and of itself (see "about"). We find our sea glass in Washington and California and, if we're lucky, an exotic vacation destination. Quality sea glass and craftsmanship is our priority. We use fine (99.9%) and sterling silver in our creations and each piece is handmade and one-of-a-kind due to the distinction and journey of each individual shard of sea glass.
