Artist Statement

Keith is an artist by birth. Holding a BFA design degree from Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle, he has drawn since he could hold a pencil and taken many additional classes and workshops in graphic design, painting and art history. He has a natural ability to turn anything into art and when he fell in love with the sea glass we were finding on the beaches, he quite naturally began to design it into jewelry. Keith loves the idea of the repurposing of what once was litter into something beautiful and useful today, as well as the preservation of the history of the glass that is vanishing from our beaches.
Moonwave Sea Glass jewelry is currently carried in several stores along the California coast. Keith was the featured Artist of the Month at Beads of Sharon in San Luis Obispo in July 2011. His work has been featured in many juried shows and his clean and precise wire-wrapping skills have gained a lot of attention from other jewelers.
